CODERE is a benchmark operator in the bingo sector. CODERE has made a considerable investment in this segment of the gaming market in recent years, and is now ranked as the leading operator.

CODERE entered this sector during the early 1990s in Argentina and is currently the biggest operator of bingo halls in the Province of Buenos Aires, with a total of 14 bingo halls and over 8,000 seats.

In 1998 it entered the Mexican market, in partnership with the two principle local players in the sector: Grupo Caliente and Corporación Interamericana de Entretenimiento (CIE). During 2000, it acquired Canoe Bingo in Spain. The Canoe Bingo is a worldwide reference for its achievements in efficient operation and management and the leader in the national market: with capacity for 700 players, it is one of the largest bingo halls in continental Europe.

In 2002 CODERE entered the Italian market, managing the bingo halls of Operbingo. In December 2005 Codere acquired 9 halls from Operbingo and made further purchases and openings over the following years. Today, in terms of turnover, CODERE is the leading bingo operator in Italy. It operates 12 bingo halls with capacity for 5,930 players.

At June 30 2009, CODERE operated 140 bingo halls in five countries: Argentina, Colombia, Spain, Italy and Mexico.
